A Dalit woman was found murdered in Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Thursday.
The woman had gone missing on Tuesday after she went to collect grass from the jungle.
Police suspect that the woman was raped before being murdered.
In another incident, a Dalit man was allegedly shot dead and his son injured by four people after he refused to sell them liquor in Rehkara in the district.
60-year-old Ramkumar was shot dead on Wednesday evening, police said, adding a case was registered against four people in this connection.
