Muzaffarnagar: A 22-year-old girl was allegedly shot dead in Panchenda village of Muzaffarnagar after she refused to marry man, police said today.
According to the police, Monika, a college student, was in a relationship for the past two years with Amandeep, a school dropout.
The accused had been angry at the girl for turning down his marriage proposal and in revenge shot her dead last night, they said adding he has been booked for murder of the girl.
The victim's father, Munesh Kumar, has already lodged a FIR against the perpetrator and the victim's body has been sent for the post-mortem.
