Muzaffarnagar:
A local court has sentenced two brothers to life term for hacking their sister to death in a honour killing case.
Additional District Judge Vikas Kumar while pronouncing the sentence yesterday also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each on the duo Sharafat and Riyasat.
According to prosecution, the accused killed their sister Rashida, who was allegedly having an affair with a youth from Saharanpur, in July 2011.
Both the convicts had surrendered to police after confessing that they had killed her because she had tarnished family's image.
