Muzaffarnagar:
A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his daughter-in-law at Nawada village in Saharanpur district, police said today.
Kamil was arrested yesterday on the basis of the FIR lodged by his daughter-in-law Hasina Begum (22) on November 19 accusing him of raping her a few days ago, Deputy SP Mukul said.
A community panchayat was convened in the village that persuaded the woman to withdraw her case, but the victim refused to do so and sought justice for herself, he added.
