Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh:
A local court in Muzaffarnagar has sentenced four members of a family to two years of imprisonment for harassing a woman for dowry.
The court yesterday held the victim Gita Tyagi's husband, Anuj Tyagi, father-in-law Rajeshwer, mother-in-law Savita and sister-in-law Sangita guilty of harassing her.
The district sessions judge has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the convicts.
Gita had accused her in-laws of torturing and physically assaulting her for dowry, in a complaint six years back.
