Official abducted on Delhi-Dehradun highway, freed

Muzaffarnagar: An official of a Mumbai-based oil company was allegedly abducted by some men from the Delhi-Dehradun national highway near Muzaffarnagar but was freed after the abductors forced him to withdraw money from his ATM, police said.
      
The incident occurred Wednesday night when Vishal, 35, was on his way to Dehradun from Delhi in a car.

The car was intercepted by the abductors who kidnapped Vishal at gun point leaving behind the car driver Mohan, Superintendent of Police K B Singh told reporters.

The abductors then took Vishal to an ATM and withdrew money from his ATM card before setting him free, he said. The accused are absconding and the case is under investigation, he said.
