Muzaffarnagar: A 17-year-old girl was burnt to death in Kandhla here allegedly by a teenage boy after she refused to marry him, police said.
According to the complaint filed by the girl's father, 18-year-old Pervaiz set the victim on fire last evening after she rejected his marriage proposal, Deputy SP Alok Piryadarshi said, adding that an FIR has been lodged against the absconding teenager.
The body of the girl was found in her house and had been sent for post-mortem.
