Two power department engineers suspended

Lucknow: Two executive engineers of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation in Muzaffarnagar district have been suspended for alleged being lax in performing their duties.

Engineer Gopal and Ashok were suspended after it was found that they were lax in installation of power metres on feeders during raid in Muzaffarnagar yesterday, an official spokesman said here.

The corporation had carried out a massive drive against power pilferage in various districts, including state capital Lucknow, Meerut and Ghaziabad.
