Muzaffarnagar:
A woman was allegedly burnt alive by her husband and in-laws over dowry at Janipur village in the district, police said on Friday.
Shushma, who was married a year back, was burnt by her husband Pankaj and her in-laws on Thursday. She was later rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead.
A complaint was then filed by the victim's mother Ram Dayee alleging that her son-in-law Pankaj and his family members had been demanding dowry.
The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem, police said.
