A woman was shot dead allegedly by three persons at her residence in Shahbuddinpur village in Muzaffarnagar, police said today.
"The victim, who was working as a domestic help in several houses was shot dead on Sunday evening allegedly by three people who forcefully entered her house," police said.
"The brother-in-law of the deceased has filed an FIR in this connection against one Mr Dinesh and two unidentified persons."
"The trio are absconding and efforts are on to nab them," the police said, adding that the body has been sent for post mortem.
