Muzaffarpur:
In a shocking incident, a teen allegedly threw boiling water on a minor girl in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district on Wednesday after she 'unfriended' him on Facebook.
The girl, a student of class 8, has suffered 20 percent burns on her face and is being treated at a local hospital.
The accused, studying at a government college in Muzaffarpur, used to take tuition from the girl's father at their home. The girl has told the police that she had been friends with the boy on the social networking site for over a year but removed him as a 'Friend' recently after the latter started posting abusive messages.
On Wednesday afternoon, the boy allegedly entered the girl's house on the pretext of looking for his lost identity card. He then allegedly locked up the girl and her mother inside a room, boiled water on a gas stove and then threw it on her.
Police have lodged a First Information Report or FIR against the accused who is absconding.
