Nagpur: A schoolgirl was allegedly gang-raped by five persons, including four minors, in Wathoda area of Nagpur, police said today.
The girl was yesterday taken to an isolated place by the accused where they raped her. They threatened her not to divulge the incident to anybody, police said.
The girl managed to reach home and informed her parents about the incident, they said.
She lodged a complaint with Nandanvan police station, following which a case was registered against 19-year-old Rahul Namdeo Wadhave and the four minors, they said.
The minor offenders were arrested in swift action by the police and were sent to a correction home.
The accused were booked under relevant sections of IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said, adding further investigation is on.
