Nagpur: A woman allegedly killed her four-year-old daughter in Raghuji Nagar in eastern part of Nagpur on Thursday morning, police said.
Sheela Bake, allegedly attacked her daughter Vaishali with a sharp weapon inflicting injuries on the latter's neck and chest killing the girl on the spot, police said.
Sheela had frequent quarrels with her husband Atul over his drinking habit.
The accused was allegedly mentally unsound. She killed her daughter in a fit of anger and fled from the spot, police said. A search was launched to nab her, they added.
