Noida: Two persons were arrested for allegedly killing a 21-year-old Marine Sciences student of Amity university, police said today.
The accused identified as Aman Virpal and Monti Rajput, were arrested last evening for allegedly killing one Ramaraju Sandesh, a native of Andhra Pradesh, at the Lotus Bouleward Apartment of Sector 100 in Noida on October 17, they said.
Virpal was a tourism student at Amity university, they added.
Sandesh and they had a fall-out last month when during a party when the former had made fun of Virpal's accent, they said.
Virpal along with his friend Rajput bought a country-made pistol from Hapur for Rs 5,500 after which they reached Sandesh's apartment and when he opened the door they fired two shots at him and fled away, Superintendent of Police (City) Dinesh Yadav said.
Sandesh was staying in a rented flat with two other friends, police had said, adding that he was rushed to the hospital after the incident where he was declared dead.
One of the flatmates had told the police that he heard Sandesh screaming and saying "Aman do not kill me", SHO Zahir Khan had said.
