Noida: A student of Amity University died on the spot after he was shot allegedly by one of his classmates on Saturday at a house in Noida, the police have said.
Rajaram Sandesh, a resident of Telangana was studying marine engineering at the university. He was sharing a rented accommodation with two other classmates in Noida's sector 100.
The police said that another Amity University student, identified as Aman, was their prime suspect.
"We are yet to ascertain the motive of the murder of Rajaram Sandesh though police have confirmed report that suspected killer, who has been identified as Aman, a student of Bachelor in Tourism IInd year in the same university, had enmity with him, said , Superintendent of Police (City) Dinesh Yadav to news agency IANS.
"Since the suspect is absconding, the motive would only be finally established after interrogation, Mr Yadav added.
