A woman working with an English newspaper was today allegedly robbed of her purse and assaulted by an auto driver.
Sapna Choudhary, who resides in Delhi, was waiting for a bus near Sector 37 to go to her office when the auto driver approached her, police said.
He persisted even when she did not answer his call to take the auto, police said, adding that the two had an argument.
The auto driver then snatched her purse and assaulted her when she resisted, they said.
She has also accused a nearby snack vendor, who has been detained for questioning, of helping him.
An FIR has been lodged against the auto driver, police added.
