New Delhi: Body of a 17-year-old boy who was kidnapped from Noida earlier this month has been found in Jevar, a two-hour drive away.
Jitender Yadav was kidnapped on March 9. His family had a received a ransom call of Rs 50 lakhs.
Three people were arrested yesterday, two of whom were his friends from the neighborhood.
The accused had reportedly told the police that they had handed over the boy over to a gang, which in turn had made the ransom call demanding Rs 50 lakhs. The accused also claimed that the boy was dead and his body dumped in a canal in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh.
The police then sent in divers to look for the boy's body.
Jitender was a class 11 student of Karl Huber School in Noida.
