An attendant of a CNG station was allegedly shot at by a man on refusal to fill gas in his car near Gijhode here, officials said on Tuesday.
An unidentified man shot at K Mitra, attendant at IGL CNG station at Gijhode around 8 pm on Monday evening they said; adding Mitra was taken to the local hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable as of now.
The man had jumped the queue and asked Mitra to fill CNG in his car first and when the attendant refused, he fired at him, they said.
The bullet touched Mitra's head, the officials said. The Manager of IGL has filed a complaint with police against the unknown assailant.
