As per the new fare structure, passenger travelling in DTC's non-AC buses for up to 3 km will now have to pay Rs 5.
New Delhi:
Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has increased fare of its non-AC bus services for Noida by up to 33 per cent following the Uttar Pradesh Government's decision to revise fares of its buses for the city.
An official said that as Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) recently revised its bus fares for Noida, DTC has also revised the fares of its buses in order to have uniformity in fares of both DTC and UPSRTC bus services.
As per the new fare structure, passenger travelling in DTC's non-AC buses for up to 3 km will now have to pay Rs 5, excluding MCD toll tax of Rs 2 per passenger, against Rs 4.
According to the DTC, MCD toll tax has been reduced from Rs 4 to Rs 2 per passenger following the UPSRTC's move in this regard.
"Fare for travelling distance of up to 5 km will be charged Rs 8, which was Rs 6 earlier. Similarly, passengers will have to buy a ticket of Rs 20 for travelling over the distance of 15 km against earlier Rs 15," the official further said.
