After heavy rains in the national capital last evening that threw vehicular traffic out of gear in the city, hailstorm lashed parts of Delhi and adjacent Noida today.
The city witnessed severe traffic snarls after the hailstorm, which began at around 9 am and continued for about 20 minutes giving a harrowing time to commuters.
Delhi experienced light rains on Saturday morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 18.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the city received 9.1 mm rainfall by 8.30 a.m.
