More Than 1,700 Vehicles 'Challaned', Close to Rs 2 Lakh Collected in Noida

Noida: Noida Traffic Police today challaned as many as 1,717 vehicles for violating traffic rules and collected Rs 1,95,650 on fine.

Of them, 45 heavy vehicles were fined for violating the peak-hour ban order, said R N Mishra, Superintendent of Police (Traffic).

As many as 285 persons were challaned for riding two-wheelers without helmet, 215 for travelling without fastening seat-belts, 58 for violating parking rules, and 25 for over-speeding, the police officer said.

"Our traffic team deputed for imparting awareness and education visited three more educational institutions today," the police officer added.
