Noida: A woman was allegedly raped and abandoned by two men in Noida today. The woman's medical report has confirmed rape, and one of the accused has been arrested by the police.
According to the police, the 32-year-old woman was returning to her Sector 93 residence at around 8:30 pm on Saturday night, when the two men forcibly pushed her into a car and raped her in a secluded spot in a jungle. They later allegedly dumped her near Kalindi Kunj in Delhi around 4 am.
The woman came to the police station around 7 am and a case was registered against the two men - Sunder and Kanwar Pal. The 39-year-old Pal, who owns a cement shop in a nearby village, was arrested when he was trying to flee around 11 am today.
The victim is a widow and has a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who lives with her grandmother in Darjeeling.
