Noida : Two persons, including a four-year-old boy, were charred to death in a fire that gutted about 23 shanties in a slum at Navada village near Noida today.
The mishap took place in sector-62 when the fire broke out in one of the shanties due to an LPG gas cylinder blast. The flames spread to the neighbouring huts, Fire Station Officer Somdutt Sonkar said.
Eight fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the flames.
