A 12-year-old, hoping to get a glimpse of her baby brother being born, got way more than she could have ever imagined. Her mother's doctor asked her to help him deliver the baby and pictures of the moment have taken the Internet by storm. "Meet Jacee! This 12 year old helped deliver her baby brother and the emotions on her face is (sic) too amazing not to share! You're a superstar Jacee!" says Facebook user Nikki Smith in her post accompanying the photos. Since June 8, the pictures have collected a whopping 2.2 lakh reactions and over 1.9 lakh shares on Facebook. The photos have, however, divided Facebook - while most say the pictures are stunning and make for a precious moment, some question if it was suitable for a 12-year-old.
"My doctor, Dr Walter Wolfe then suggested, 'Jacee why don't you suit up and come deliver the baby.' I was in shock lol! I told her as long as Zack (her husband) doesn't care go ahead and he said 'go for it Jacee!' She got suited up for delivery," Jacee's mother Dede Dellapenna wrote in a post for the 'Love What Matters' Facebook page. "Dr Wolfe actually put her hands on the inside of his and allowed her to do the entire delivery," she explains.
"I couldn't believe it," she told Today.com. "It was like, oh my goodness, I just delivered a baby, and it's my baby brother, and I'm going to tell him when he gets older that I delivered him. I can't wait."
Photos of Jacee delivering her baby brother have since gone insanely viral online. Several people have commented saying the pictures capture a beautiful moment and this will help strengthen the bond between the siblings. Some have even shared their own similar experiences. However, some have raised questions on whether it was too 'traumatising' for the young girl.
