52 Days Before Her Wedding, Her Fiance Died. This is The Bride's Story of Recovery

Two months before Janine was supposed to walk down the aisle, her fiance John died. This short video, made by Del Sol Photography and posted on their YouTube channel, captures Janine's moments of grief, her way of bidding goodbye and of letting go of the memories of John. As the video says, this is her story of healing and hope.

Janine's dreams were left shattered into fragments, but with incredible grace and courage and a little help from a wonderful underwater photoshoot, she recovered. Clad in her gorgeous wedding dress, Janine's freefall into a Mexican river is beautifully captured by photographer Matt Adcock.

This underwater memorial shoot is like no other. As she talks about how it was important that she do something like this as a way of release, Janine turns her story of loss into one of hope. Her handwritten message to John, which she ties to a balloon and sets free, hoping it will reach him, makes you tear up.
