There are times when we are so fuzzy-headed, and sometimes so groggy with the task of just existing, that we get certain silly things wrong. No, we're not talking about switching on the wrong switch every day. Nor are we talking about repeatedly (but accidentally, we're sure) wearing the left slipper in the right foot. That's just you. You're on your own there, mate.
There are five universal things so insanely simple and it is amazing that many of us get them wrong:
1.Push. Pull. The door says push, we pull. The door says pull, we push. Perhaps this has something to do with leftover adolescent rebellion, where we do not want to do what we are told.
No, door. I will not do as you say.
2. Want to go left, will point to the right. Autowallahs, cab drivers, and hapless pedestrians who've stupidly asked you for directions must love you. Did you turn left when the PT teacher yelled, 'daaye mud' during school march-pasts? Hyuk. The PT teacher must have loved you as well.
That's the RIGHT hand by the way.
3. Thinking it is Friday, on Thursday.And mentally making happy weekend plans. And then all your dreams and hopes of partying like a rockstar get postponed for a day. So much sadness. So much.
Ummm. It's okay sweetie. Just one more day.
4. The Salt and Pepper Dilemma Which one has the salty goodness and which one can make us sneeze? Gah. Restaurants which do not have 'S' and 'P' marked in bold, ought to be banned. BANNED.
'S' and 'P' in BOLD. Why won't you mark it so? Why? WHY?
5. The Curious Case of the Stubborn USB This thing just won't go into the port the right way the first time. Or the next one. Maybe they ought to have a neon sign for the 'right' side. Apple should do it first. Everyone will automatically follow. Like they always do. Cough.
