Abhishek Bachchan has been trolled often and almost always has the last word.
Trolls have learnt the hard way to give Abhishek Bachchan a wide berth on Twitter and now, he's bested stand-up comic Aditi Mittal in an argument.
It began when the 40-year-old actor's father Amitabh Bachchan wrote an open letter to his granddaughters Navya Naveli and Aaradhya (who is the daughter of Abhishek and Aishwarya), urging them to make their own choices and to ignore those who tell them "how to dress, how to behave, who to meet and where to go."
The letter has received very mixed responses, equal parts praise and criticism. On Tuesday, one Twitter user wrote to Ms Mittal: "Didn't this man writing feminist letters to grand kids once make daughter-in-law marry a tree?"
The reference was to Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is popularly supposed to have been through a wedding ceremony to a tree because of superstition about Mangliks or people born under Mars.
Aditi Mittal responded with a tweet of her own that took a dig at Abhishek's acting ability.
Abhishek handled it with grace. Within half an hour, the Housefull 3 actor tweeted back:
And it didn't end there (even though she called him a "rockstar").
The argument continued and Aditi brought in some ammo.
Abhishek delivered the final burn.
It was a well-deserved victory.
"Don't you EVER give up that spirit! Certainly not till you win em all over (which wouldn't take long at this rate)!" said one Twitter user. "Love the way you shut people up without insulting them. Love to you," said another.
Abhishek Bachchan has been trolled often and almost always has the last word. Last year, one troll backpedaled furiously after making a comment about the actor's daughter and was decimated not just by the enraged actor but also several other Twitter users. Abhishek later told news agencies that his family, in particular daughter Aaradhya, were off-limits on social media.

@juniorbachchan Hahahahahahahahah. Which is why I do jokes, not news. Though news can be infinitely more entertaining obvi.
