Tropical storm Typhoon Khanun made landfall in China's Guangdong province early this morning bringing with it heavy rainfall and high-speed winds. Thousands were evacuated and fishermen were asked to return to the shore as the typhoon inched closer to China's coast. On Sunday, China issued an orange alert, its second highest for severe weather.
In an astonishing video that emerged over the weekend from the island of Taiwan, winds emerging from the typhoon caused a small waterfall to defy gravity. The video, shot by an onlooker in the coastal city of Taitung showed a waterfall blowing upwards.
This, however, isn't the first time the natural phenomenon has been sighted. Back in 2015, updrafts from Storm Desmond caused water to shoot back up into the air in County Leitrim, Ireland.
