Industrialist Anand Mahindra is known for his intriguing tweets that have the ability to instantly kick off a discussion on social media. This time, the Chairman of the Mahindra Group has come up with an amusing post that prompted him to believe that “English is remarkable”.
The post features an English phrase that read, “The guy at the furniture store told me the sofa would seat 5 people without any problems.” Now, while you may think that it is an ordinary English sentence that doesn't need to be deciphered, the next line might make you scratch your head.
“Then it occurred to me, I don't think I know 5 people without any problems,” it read.
Do not worry, it's not just you but the phrase seems to have left even Mr Mahindra puzzled. “So true. And, I think the English language is remarkable. It's as malleable as clay. Now, I don't think I'll ever be able to use the phrase ‘without any problems' again in place of ‘easily,'” he wrote in the caption.

The tweet has garnered a lot of attention on social media. A user has offered some tweaking in the phrase to make it more comprehensible. “Or maybe rephrase: The sofa, without any problems, can seat 5 people?” he wrote.
