New Delhi:
"We weren't expecting that," says a momentarily speechless Simon Cowell on this episode of the second series of Britain's Got Talent. We weren't either!
Just a minute or two earlier, Simon and fellow judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan had watched in befuddlement as a Michael Jackson impersonator's near-perfect Moonwalk was interrupted by a portly Sardarji wielding a mop. Show hosts Ant and Dec were confused as well - "Who's this dude? Hello?"
Fake MJ wasn't pleased either and told the mop-wielder in no uncertain terms. The turbaned intruder displayed no khed for the rukawat he had so rudely perpetrated and, instead, proceeded to break into bhangra, his white coat unbuttoned to reveal a Daler Mehndi-esque outfit.
It seems everybody but the judges were in on the joke after all and, Moonwalk abandoned, a double bhangra act gets the BGT audience clapping, cheering and whistling.
"What will you do in the next round?" asks Simon. "Carry on surprising you," comes the answer from Fake MJ, who auditioned solo and certainly managed to pull a fast one on the judges.
The dance jodi are called Signature, made up of Suleman Mirza and Madhu Singh and they call their style 'British Bhangra.' They were runners-up in Britain's Got Talent
