In her own words, wrestler Sakshi Malik's Olympic bronze was won after 12 years of hard work, patience and sacrifices - some of which includes giving up her favourite things to eat. Now, after covering herself in glory at the Rio Olympics, Sakshi can finally do some things the rest of us don't give a second thought to.
Like eat breakfast. Sakshi, 23, tweeted the picture above. "A proper breakfast! How I have missed you!" she said in her tweet.
Aww, Sakshi. God knows you deserve it, after winning the bronze in the women's 58 kg freestyle - a sentiment several share on Twitter.
Sakshi isn't the only Indian Olympian to be enjoying special treats. Badminton ace PV Sindhu, who flew home today after winning a silver in the women's singles, had biryani and Mysore Pak waiting for her at home. Sindhu's favourite dishes were specially prepared for her by mother P Vijaya.
After she won in Rio, her coach P Gopichand told news agencies that she was now allowed to eat whatever she liked, having been denied sweet curd, ice cream and other delicacies while she was training.
India's sweetheart Dipa Karmakar, the country's first gymnast to qualify for a final event, placed fourth with her performance on the vault but won the nation's collective heart. She celebrated her performance at the Olympics with ice creams and strawberry smoothies.
Dipa, 23, who executed her trademark Produnova vault and missed a medal by 0.15 points, told Reuters: "I had ice cream two days after the final and two large strawberry smoothies. It was the first time in three months I've had any dessert. But I had a little too much and now I have a bad throat," she said as she broke into laughter.
Have another helping on us, guys - you've earned it.
