On the first day of her visit to India, British Prime Minister Theresa May thrilled Twitter by wearing a gold and green saree while visiting the Halasuru Someshwara Temple in Bengaluru on November 8.
In pictures, now actively being shared on Twitter, Ms May looks more than comfortable in the ethnic ensemble. Photographs show her standing alongside the temple's priests as she offers prayers to Lord Shiva.
She was also presented with 'bagina,' a traditional gift of a saree among other things later, reports AFP.
Twitter thought Ms May looked wonderful.
Theresa May is on her first bilateral trip outside Europe since she took office. Earlier that day, she also met students from a local school and watched a fly past by Indian Air Force aircraft.
