London: Britons are the angriest people in Europe, with many flying into a rage on an average of four times a day, a survey has revealed.
According to the survey, nearly half of Britons said queue jumpers made them see red, with traffic jams infuriating 43 per cent. Rude service in shops, foreign call centres and having to deal with ill-mannered neighbours also got more than a third of Britons hot under the collar.
Nearly 36 per cent of respondents were also enraged by racist and bigoted behaviour (36 per cent) and erratic driving (34 per cent). And, 33 per cent said people swearing loudly in public made them angry.
The survey of 6,000 Europeans has also revealed that Italians get angry three-and-a-half times a day and the French three times. But, those living in apparently tranquil Sweden, Norway and Denmark said they got irate just once every five days, the Daily Mail reported.
While Italians were most annoyed by bad driving and the French by sloppy service in restaurants, Scandinavians claimed that their biggest gripe was when people mocked their countries.
The survey was commissioned by comedy channel 'GOLD'.
