Guess what keeps the former US President and America's ex-Commander-in-Chief George Bush busy these days? Well, it is neither Iraq nor Afghanistan, but it's his pet dog Barney's poop.
Yes, Bush has revealed that he keeps busy cleaning the former first dog's biological waste these days.
The former President told an audience in China on Saturday that he recently took his pet Barney, for a stroll -- and brought his own baggies to clean up the terrier's mess, the New York Daily News reported.
"I was picking up what I had been dodging for eight years," Bush said, scoring laughs at the Boao Forum for Asia, a gathering for government, business and academic leaders.
Bush also said that after the transfer of power, he flopped on the couch and sighed, "Free at last". And, to this, His wife, Laura, replied jokingly, "You're free to do the dishes."
Bush, however, also spoke on more serious matters, such as quelling terrorism and stabilising the world economy.
When the US financial slump set in, Bush said that he recalled saying the Wall Street had gotten drunk and given the country a hangover. "Maybe the next time around, there won't be enough booze."
