This is easily the most adorable apology of the year. A video, currently viral with over 22 million views on Facebook, shows a dog named Ettore being told off by his human for being a bad boy.
No dog, however, could be more repentant than Ettore is in the video. Just like a kid, the pooch first looks right into his human Anthony Federica Granai's eyes. Seconds later, sensing the disappointment in his master's voice, he puts on his best guilty face hoping to melt his human's heart. When Anthony refuses to be moved, Ettore tries harder to be forgiven.
The video shows the dog climbing onto Anthony's lap and rubbing his snout against him repeatedly, as if trying to comfort him. He even attempts to hug his human by placing his paws on his shoulders.
You may not be able to understand what Anthony is saying but there's no mistaking his mock-anger - or Ettore's remorse.
We don't know what poor little Ettore did but nothing is worth that sorry look. Come on Anthony, just forgive him already.
