Don't feed the trolls - that's the early Diwali message in a series of videos by celebrities posted in Twitter.

Ahead of the festive season, an e-commerce portal has drafted in celebs who have been on the receiving end of social media hate to help  urge everyone to make the Internet a better place.

The recruits include actress Neha Dhupia, comedians Tanmay Bhat and Vir Das, and columnist Shobhaa De.  

In separate videos tweeted today, the celebrities talk about some of their worst experiences of being trolled. Tanmay talks about fat shamers who respond to his every post with jokes about his weight. Ms De cites the hate she received after her controversial tweet about the Indian team at Rio Olympics. "Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity," Ms De wrote, earning herself the wrath of social media.

Vir and Neha also share similar experiences with trolls in their videos.

So their message to everyone is simple - it's time to stop the cycle of hate and resolve to be #BadeDilWale. Watch them in the videos below:
