The incident occurred on November 13 in east China's Yueqing County. The boy was tying his shoelaces on the road when the car accidentally ran over him.
The video shows the occupants of the car running out to check on the boy. Upon realising that the boy was stuck under the vehicle, the couple are seen trying to lift the car in order to free him. Watching them, passers-by also jump to the rescue of the boy.
According to the video, the group successfully lifted the car and moved the boy away from harm's way. He was rushed to the hospital but luckily wasn't seriously injured.
