A man from China had a near-fatal experience when an under-construction building collapsed just a few steps away from him. The terrifying moment was caught on a dashcam of a car.

The man was crossing a street when suddenly the scaffolding of the building collapsed. A cycle rickshaw was also caught in the cloud of dust as rubble fell on the road. But in a surprisingly lucky turn of events, the startled man managed to sprint to safety, barely avoiding getting crushed under the falling debris.

However, some were not as fortunate as the man in the video. At least five people were confirmed dead and three injured in the incident, Xinhua quotes local officials. The incident happened at a construction site in Jianshi county in Central China last week. The building belonged to a local bank. A probe has been ordered into the incident and six people have been arrested in connection with the tragic incident.Click for more trending news
