One week before their wedding last month, a newly married couple in China discovered that they had crossed paths before. The revelation happened when Lu Yiqin, then a bride-to-be, was flipping through her fiancé's childhood pictures and discovered her mother in the backdrop of an old photo.

According to this young couple from Zhejiang, the photo was taken when the groom, Zhang Hedong, was 14-years-old. The photo was taken in the year 2000, when Mr Hedong visited the Giant Buddha attraction at Ling Mountain in Wuxi with his family.
Ms Yiquin's mother, who was dressed in a red coat and black pants in the picture, confirmed that she had visited the place with her family during the Chinese New Year holidays around the same time. She compared it with her own picture from that visit and realized it was similar.
