The viral selfie of Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering from Florida.
A seemingly regular picture of three police officers has gone insanely viral on social media. Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering in Florida clicked an innocent selfie before getting ready to work and their picture was posted on the Gainesville Police Department Facebook page. Next thing they know, the picture was viral and flooded with comments, some of which even made cops blush. Since being posted on September 11, the picture has collected over 3.3 lakh reactions, almost two lakh shares and more than 1.2 lakh comments - and still very much counting.
"Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering...part of the night crew getting ready to do some work," said the original post on Facebook. It was later updated with the most hilarious message. "We are dying with the comments. You've actually made our chief blush with some of them" and "Please do not call 9-1-1 and request this group respond to your 'incident'" among other disclaimers was added to the post after it was bombarded with comments, some NSFW (not suitable for work).
"I just came here for the comments, and you ladies did not let me down," says one Facebook user. "So I was gonna say something inappropriate, then I checked the comments, it's been covered. I <3 GPD," says another.
Here's what others are commenting:
Several people also suggested the officers shoot a calendar, which they seem to have agreed to. "As for the calendar, we are going to try and do something fairly quickly and funds raised will go to Hurricane Irma recovery here in Florida," Gainesville Police Department says on Facebook.
