Dear South Africa, a Gentle Reminder in This Spoof Response to the 'Mauka' Advert

You know what they say about people in glass houses not casting stones. This spoof of the 'Mauka, Mauka' World Cup advertisement is currently being circulated on social media by gleeful Indian fans who want to remind South Africa that they have NEVER (!!!) won the Cricket World Cup (Ouch!).

In the original ad, South African fans hand a box of fireworks to Indian fans while chanting 'mauka, mauka.' India has never won a World Cup match against South Africa. In this spoof response, the box is handed right back because, you know, Kapil Dev. And Sachin. And Dhoni.

Who gets the mauka or chance to set off those fireworks? The answer this Sunday, when India play South Africa.

Uploaded on YouTube by Be YouNick, this video has been viewed more than seven lakh times. You might be confused at first, but the firecracker-bearing gents in green are meant to be South Africans.

This video hits the sorest spot of cricket-loving South Africans, but can India break the jinx this Sunday?

Watch and rejoice:
