When police officers were called to break up a fight in Germany's Darmstadt on Tuesday, they probably weren't expecting to find what they found - a very drunk 19-year-old with "a significant bulge in his trousers." To make matters even more awkward, the inebriated teen proceeded to pull out a snake - yes, an actual reptile - from his pants.
Local media reports that the belligerent young man was arguing loudly with another man when annoyed residents called the cops.
As police officers tried to settle the dispute, they noticed a "significant bulge" in the 19-year-old's pants and, ahem, inquired about it.
That's when - much to the surprise of everyone present at the scene - the drunk teen proclaimed he had a snake in his underwear and proceeded to pull out a 35-centimetre-long baby king python.
According to Deutsche Welle, the man was quickly taken into custody and placed in a police cell overnight to sober up.
The snake, meanwhile, was placed in a transport box, reports The Local.
Police officers are investigating who the snake belongs to and whether the young man was in violation of any animal protection laws.
