Washington: Temples in the United States and Canada will soon have e-services which would help the large Hindu community in the two countries to connect themselves with their place of worship despite a hectic lifestyle.

During the fourth annual Hindu Mandir Executives Conference, executives representing 111 temples and Hindu organisations from more than 25 states of US and Canada have decided to develop a software for purpose.

They have also agreed to conduct Hindu Seva Diwas on a chosen day in each temple during the conference, from September 11 to 13 at Lithicum, Maryland, a suburb of Washington.

The conference decided to make available state of the art software technology to streamline routine temple operations. It also decided to organise training camps for religious leaders, adults and youths on essentials of Hindu Dharma and Hindu society, so that they can effectively articulate the richness of their traditions to larger public.

Among other decisions taken are distribution of Hindu Text Book Supplements to US School Districts on the history of India prepared by Hinduism Today; developing 'Samskar' Manual for Young Couples; write a clear, simple and attractive book on 'Vivah Samskar'; establish Hindu Mandir Youth Network in USA and establish Hindu Mandir communication channel, through Hindu 'Mandir' News Letter.
