Fire Rages On Movie Set, Nobody Calls For Help Thinking It's For A Shoot
Nobody called the emergency servives in Hengdian, thinking the fire to be part of a movie shoot.
On June 27 at around 5 am in the morning, a fire broke out at the Hengdian World Studios in China - and nobody seemed bothered by it. The reason? Everyone thought the fire was part of some movie shoot taking place on the sets of the studio! "Because they are always shooting movies around Hengdian, everyone probably thought it was just a film shoot, so they didn't call the police," a woman was reported telling journalists, according to the Shanghaiist.

Located amidst farmlands in China's Zhejiang province, the Hengdian Studios have been the site of numerous Chinese movie shoots. Locals in the area, presumably used to fires on the set, did not think much of it when a real one broke out.

A video on YouTube shows the extent of the fire:

It was only after a good while, when the raging fire did not abate, that someone called emergency services, according to the Shanghaiist.

Firefighters reached the area at around 7 am and managed to extinguish the blaze. Luckily, no one was hurt in the fire.
