As US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama arrived for an informal dinner at Kensington Palace with Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince George greeted them in a mini white robe.
The two-year-old son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was allowed to stay up past his bedtime to meet the guests.
Dressed in pyjamas and a white dressing gown, Prince George was seen shaking hands with the US President and playing on his rocking horse.

The palace later released a series of photos showing everyone chatting in the drawing room of William and Kate's home. In some photos, a stuffed toy replica of Obama's dog Bo, an earlier gift to the toddler from the president, rested on an ottoman.
Earlier during the day, the 94-year-old Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip drove the Obamas to a 90th birthday lunch for Queen Elizabeth in Windsor.
