When Florida resident Charlie Helms and his friends decided to spend an afternoon playing golf, they didn't realize they had also signed up for a date with a ginormous reptile. That, right there, is an almost 15-feet-long alligator just casually walking across the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Florida.
The unbelievable footage was captured by Mr Helms and almost looks like a scene from the making of the next installment of Jurassic Park or Godzilla. Seriously, just look at the gator's size.
What's even stranger is that the alligator has been roaming the golf course for a while now. "He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County," pro shop clerk Wendy Schofield told News 3. "He has been here for a very, very long time, he's not new at all," she added.

According to reports, Mr Helms posted the video on his Facebook page on May 25. It was later shared on Golf.com's YouTube channel and really went viral with over four million views since May 30.

New or old, seeing something like that in front of you can be quite shocking. We're impressed Mr Helms managed to capture what he saw on his camera instead of running for his life. What would you have done?
