There's a new word in town, File Extensongs, courtesy the people at
Minimal Bollywood Posters, who clearly love wordplay and Photoshop, as seen
here,
here and
here.
The extravagant Bollywood songs, the place where all things simplistic go to die, have been 'minimalised' so cleverly that it's just Adobe-rable. The file extensions that other seem to have to zing to have been stardusted and have become - File Extensongs. Get it?
Not too FLASH-y, the filmy humour we see is just right amount.
Here are some of our favourite popular songs explained with a little software-talk:
1. Adobe Illustrator: Did you know the logo could be fun too? And here we thought just the song was worth drooling over.
2. Rar File Opener: This Manisha Koirala may not have had fans during its time, but we bet a lot of you are going to watch it now.
Kitna mushkil hai tauba, YouTube

na marna. The original:
3. Audio Video Interleaved (AVI) Multimedia Container: Old song served with a twist. Admit it. You're singing the song in your mind now.
The original:
4. JAVA: Who would have thought JAVA could be romanticised? Well done, MBP.
5. Computer-Aided Design (CAD): *slowest clap ever* CAD got Punjabi-fied.
The original:
6. Doc: Although the lyrics of this iconic Madhuri Dixit-Anil Kapoor song don't really match the 'file extensong', we'll let this one pass.
Firstly because the song has Madhuri Dixit in it, and secondly because it has Madhuri Dixit in it.
