Three days ago, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) was slammed for making the email IDs of all users who had written to them on net neutrality, public. In the process, they also appear to have published a love letter written by a young man to his girlfriend on their website. Yes, you read that right. The letter, which was addressed to 'Meri Moluutiiiii' by the lover boy, was emailed to TRAI for reasons unknown. We can't confirm if this was intentional or an innocent mistake. But TRAI, which clearly didn't read the note through, probably thought it was one among those million emails it received as a response to net neutrality. In the letter, he writes in the most heartfelt manner about how much he loves his girlfriend, peppered with endearments, lots of "tension wali smileys" and several declarations of love like this one - "Ummmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaah! I soooo soooo love u!!! :*"After TRAI published the email IDs, it received a lot of backlash, specifically for giving spammers an early Christmas present. However, with this letter, it has given social media something new to discuss.#TRAI now puts a love letter now on their website WOW!- Siddhartha Sharma (@SidnChips) April 28, 2015Who the hell sends a love letter even by mistake to the #TRAI general email id? or whatever? Unless it was a #TRAI staffer- Lutyens Impersonator (@vjshanks) April 28, 2015LOL poor fellow - the guy who accidentally sent love letter to TRAI- Thejas (@Jazz_CB) April 28, 2015Yesterday, the TRAI website was allegedly taken down by Anonymous India following the incident. The group of hackers took responsibility for the distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack and for bringing the site down. We don't know how Anonymous will react to this, if at all.We also don't know what the current relationship status of the boy and his 'Moluutiiiii' is. We're guessing at a few more 'tension wali smileys' on his part.
