Ever seen a volcano erupt? Here's a ringside view that will leave you open-mouthed.
A video uploaded to YouTube shows a volcano erupting in Papua New Guinea, spewing out ash thousands of feet into the sky. Accompanied by the sound of boiling a fist-shaped bundle of ash and smoke pushes away clouds. "Watch out for the shot, it's coming," a man is heard saying, probably the one capturing all this action on a video.
Mount Tavurvur, the volcano in the video, is one of the most active and most dangerous volcanoes in Papua New Guinea. It was filmed in all its fury on August 29, 2014. Subsequent explosions at the volcano continued for several days.
According to NASA Earth Observatory, eruptions have continued to rattle Tavurvur every few years since 1994.
