How Deepika Padukone Cheered Up a Student Disappointed With His Marks

It's that time of the year when students across India compare percentages, look up cut-offs for their preferred courses and apply to their dream colleges. Admissions to universities can be extremely hard on students and their parents, especially those who feel they haven't scored enough.

So, for all those left disappointed with their marks, here's a wonderful message from actress Deepika Padukone - "there is soo much more to life than just academics, grades and results..."

In a series of tweets posted on June 20, the Piku actress shared the story of her encounter with a young student and his mother whom she met in a lift. She learned that the boy was upset with his result when his mother asked Deepika about her performance in school.
